Roybal FAQS

When and where will In-Person Sunday Gatherings be?

Beginning Sunday September 12th, we will be returning to our worship location at Roybal Learning Center. Our Main Worship along with our Children’s Worship will begin at 10:30AM.

How do I get there?

The listed address of the school is 1200 Colton St. Los Angeles 90026. However, if you input this address into your navigation, it will likely take you to the entrance on Colton St. rather than the parking garage.  Please note that the parking garage entrance is located off of 1st St.

Will parking be available?

Yes, there is a private parking garage attached to the campus that will be open to church-goers on Sunday. The entrance to the parking lot is along 1st Street and can be easy to miss, so keep an eye out for our Hospitality Team volunteers and signs near the entrance.

Do I need to sign up to attend an In-Person Sunday Gathering?

Yes, at this time we are still requiring RSVPs to our In-Person Gatherings. RSVPs open at Monday at 9am on the week prior to the Sunday Gathering.

How do I check in on Sunday morning?

As you enter onto campus from the parking garage, you will see our Citizens canopy where our Hospitality Team volunteers will be stationed to check you in. Each person will be temperature checked upon arrival and asked a series of safety questions before entering. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, we ask that you refrain from entering the building and to join us when you are feeling well again.

Our main worship will be located in the Multi Purpose Room and our Children’s Ministry worship will be located in classrooms. Please follow the signs or ask any one of our friendly Hospitality volunteers for help if you have trouble finding your way around!

Is the campus wheelchair and stroller accessible?

Yes, there is an elevator that can take you from the parking level to the campus.

Do I need to wear a face mask?

Face masks are required while indoors for anyone ages 4 and up.

Will there be outdoor seating?

Yes, directly outside of the Multi Purpose Room there are tables under an awning where you are welcome to sit throughout worship. We will broadcast audio for the praise and sermon for folks who prefer tuning in from the outside tables.

What cleaning and disinfecting precautions will Citizens LA be doing?

In addition to the cleaning protocols administered by the school throughout the week, our volunteers will be frequently disinfecting high touch areas such as handles, elevator buttons, railings, and restrooms. Touch-less hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the sanctuary as well.

Will Livestream Services continue once Citizens LA starts meeting in person?

We understand that there are a variety of reasons for why many in our congregation may still be unable to attend an In-Person Gathering. One change moving forward is that we will unfortunately be unable to livestream our service at 10:30AM given WiFi constraints at our new worship venue. That said, we will be posting our 10:30AM service in its entirety on our YouTube Channel at 5pm for those of you will be joining us online.

Will there be any children’s programs available during the service?

Yes, beginning Sunday September 12th, we will have Children’s Ministry for children 18 months to 5th grade. For more information on Children’s Ministry, you can email Catherine Yun (catyun@citizensla.org) to get on the parent mailing list.

What about Youth Ministry?

Our youth students (6th grade - 12 grade) join the main worship at 10:30am and have scheduled activities throughout the month. For more information on Youth Ministry, email Susie Kim (susie@citizensla.org).

What is the easiest and safest way to give offering?

We will no longer be passing the offering basket during service. Instead, you can give online by either downloading the PushPay app and searching Citizens LA or scanning the QR codes stationed throughout the sanctuary on Sundays.

I have underlying health conditions. Can I attend an In-Person Gathering?

If you or a loved one in your home is considered at-risk due to an underlying health condition, we recommend you refrain from attending our In Person Gatherings and instead join us online by attending our livestream.
