New CG Leaders Info Session - Sunday, July 12th after the 9:30am Service
Intro to Community - Saturday, June 27th @ 9am
Intro to Community is a 3-hour class exploring a biblical framework of community, our unique witness as a countercultural presence in Los Angeles, and practices that cultivate authentic community. We'll also share the vision, values, and rhythms of our Community Groups. This one-time class is the pathway to joining a Community Group here at Citizens. New members interested in joining a Community Group for the first time must complete the Intro to Community class prior to signing up for a group. Breakfast and coffee will be provided! Registration closes 6/24. For questions, email our Spiritual Formation Director, Hanah Kwon (hanah@citizensla.org).

City Dinner for Folks in Tech - Saturday, June 27th @ 6pm
July Book Clubs
July is book club month here at Citizens! Book clubs are a fun and casual way to learn and connect with others at our church. These book clubs are hosted by members of our community and groups meet weekly throughout the month for a total of four meetings. We are excited to offer 6 book clubs this month! You can find more information about where and when these book clubs will meet as well as a brief description written out by our book club hosts in our announcements link. Sign-ups for our book clubs will close on 6/30 so please make sure you sign up soon if you are interested in joining one of these groups!

Care Group: Loss of a Loved One - Tuesdays, July 7th - August 11th @ 7:30pm
Care Groups are a safe space to explore our pain with others and take a small step toward healing. This will be Citizens' first-ever care group held specifically for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Grief can be a deeply lonely experience, and when left unprocessed and unexplored, it can give rise to a number of personal challenges, including anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and relational strain. Your story, although painful, can be a gift to others. In community, as we listen to one another, we have the opportunity to become an extension of God's compassion, empathy, and love.

Night of Vision & Prayer - Sunday, June 28th @ 7:30pm
We'll be having our annual gathering to celebrate all God has done in our community in the past year and look ahead to where He is leading us. Covenant members will be voting on the next fiscal year's budget. The Annual Report containing the budget information will be emailed to everyone on the church mailing list the week of June 15th.

At Citizens, we believe that we can be transformed to be more like Jesus in the ordinary rhythm of eating, praying, sharing, and learning in smaller more intimate communities. As such, Community Groups are at the heart of how we grow together and we believe God may be inviting some of you into this next step of leadership. Come hear more about our vision for Community Groups, what it looks like to walk alongside others as a leader, and how you can apply to lead a group for the upcoming CG year.

Our next City Dinner is for folks who work in tech! Join us on the evening of June 27th at 6 pm to slow down, share a meal, and connect with others who understand the world you work in. Rapidly evolving technology is changing everything — how we work, how we connect, and how we see the world. But what does that mean for us as people of faith? Let's dig into the big questions around AI and emerging technology together over a good meal and good company!
