Newcomers Lunch - TODAY after the 11:30am Service
If you are new to our church, we'd love to meet you! On the last Sunday of every month, a group of us go out to eat and want to especially invite our newcomers to join us! This is a casual, pressure-free way to get acquainted with other newcomers, staff, and volunteers. No signup is necessary - just meet us outside the sanctuary under the Newcomer's Lunch sign after the 11:30am service on the last Sunday of every month.
Abide - Friday, September 4th @ 7:30pm
Join us for Abide on Friday, September 4th at 7:30pm in our church office in Highland Park (5260 Lincoln Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90042)! Abide is a prayer and worship gathering at our church where our community can spend time with Jesus together in a smaller, more intimate setting. No RSVP required - hope to see you there!
Intro to Community - Saturday, September 12th @ 9am
Intro to Community is a 3-hour class exploring a biblical framework of community, our unique witness as a countercultural presence in Los Angeles, and practices that cultivate authentic community. We'll also share the vision, values, and rhythms of our Community Groups. New members interested in joining a Community Group for the first time must complete the Intro to Community class before signing up. Light breakfast and coffee will be provided!
Note: Our CGs for the year have reached full capacity, but we are offering a different type of gathering called CG Spaces for those who were unable to get into a CG. You can still be a part of this by attending this last Intro to Community for the fall. For any additional questions about this class or CG spaces, you can email our Pastor of Communities, Aaron Kim, at aaron@citizensla.org

LHTP Beach Clean-up - Saturday, September 12th @ 10am
Our City Partners at LHTP are hosting their annual beach clean-up for their youth students at Cabrillo Beach on the westside. The event will take place on Saturday September 12th from 10am to 12:30pm and we are looking for volunteers to serve alongside the students for this event. Volunteers from our church are invited to help BBQ, serve lunch, and chaperone the students during the clean-up to make sure they have a safe and fun time. This is a great opportunity for us to serve our friends at LHTP!

AI & Everyday Life Seminar - Saturday, October 3rd @ 10am
AI is quickly becoming a part of everyday life, but how should we think about it, use it, and live wisely alongside it? Join us for a practical and thoughtful time learning about how AI works, how to use it safely and effectively, and how our Christian faith can guide us in navigating AI’s impact on our faith, relationships, and wellbeing. This seminar will be taught by Roy Chung.

City Supper Club (Sign-ups Open)
Every Sunday in the month of September, members from our church will be hosting various suppers in their homes throughout the city. The idea of sharing a meal together is quite simple & ordinary - and yet it is one of the most profound & powerful ways Jesus showed us what the kingdom of God actually looks like. We're calling these gatherings City Suppers and we'd love for you to join us for one! The link below shows all the hosts, locations, and dates for the City Suppers being offered.

Discerning Your Spiritual Gifts Class - Saturday, September 19th @ 9am
This 3 hour class will explore how God has uniquely gifted and equipped you to serve. Through biblical teaching, reflection, and practical exercises, we hope each person can walk away with a better understanding of their own spiritual gifts and how they can use them to grow in faith and bless others. No prior knowledge is necessary, just come with an open heart to learn and reflect!
