Digital Fast Prayer Hike - Saturday, March 14th @ 9:30am
During this lent season, we as a church have embarked on this Digital Fast journey in order to free our attention away from our devices and towards God. In the spirit of letting go of social media, entertainment, and our phones, we wanted to fellowship together in nature where we can seek the solitude and the space to meet God in His creation. Here we'll hike together and also find places of rest to pray and commune with God. After completing the hike, we will grab lunch together nearby. The location for now is TBD. City Happy Hour x Fuente Church Care Packages - Thursday, March 12th @ 7pm
Join us for our next City Happy Hour where we will be gathering for some midweek drinks and small bites in DTLA at Bike Shed Moto Brewery! This upcoming event will be a joint collaboration with our newest City Partners - Fuente Church. In addition to a time of fellowship, we'll also be putting together care packages to gift to the community that Fuente serves! Fuente Church is a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church founded by Pastors Chad & Fabiola Wolyn in the heart of Los Angeles. For the first two years the church met under a canopy in the driveway of Chad & Fabiola’s home, but in December of 2012 Chad & Fabiola moved out of that home allowing the church to continue to grow and expand within that space. Outside of their Sunday Gatherings, Fuente operates a cafe, boutique, and prayer room that is open to the community. We are so excited to partner with them as we continue to serve the city of Los Angeles united as one church body! The cost of your registration will cover your first drink and some appetizers.

Digital Fast
Lent is a season in the Christian calendar observed during the 40 days leading up to Easter. During this time, many followers of Jesus practice fasting as a way of intentionally saying no to fleeting pleasures and longings in order to say yes to feasting on the presence of God. This Lenten season, we invite you to join us in a church-wide digital fast. Through this fast, we hope to grow in awareness of how our devices form us and to uncover any unhealthy dependencies we may have developed. We believe awareness is the first step toward cultivating a healthier relationship with technology. Our prayer is that, as we silence the noise and distractions in our lives, we would become more fully present in our relationship with Jesus, with ourselves, and with those around us. The Digital Fast Guide provides more details on how to participate along with various spiritual practices designed to help you grow in deeper intimacy with Jesus. We are excited for all that we will experience and discover as we enter into this Lenten season together as a church family. Pick up a copy of the Lenten Reading Plan at the Welcoming Tent.
